Prof. Fatma Al Jasmi

Prof. Fatma Al Jasmi is Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at United Arab Emirates University and Professor of Genetics & Genomics. A Consultant in Biochemical Genetics at Tawam Hospital, she trained in Pediatrics and Biochemical Genetics at the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the Canadian College of Medical Genetics. Prof. Al Jasmi is internationally recognized for her leadership in rare diseases, lysosomal storage disorders, and genomic medicine. She serves as Chair of the Middle East and North Africa Medical Genetics Association (MENA-MGA) and has received prestigious honors including the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence, the L’Oréal UNESCO Women in Science Award, and the Chancellor’s Innovation Award

Dr. Joowon Oh

Dr. Joowon Oh is highly experienced in Clinical Genetics and Genomics with more than 12 years of experience. Dr. Oh earned her M.D. and Ph.D. from Ewha Womans University. Professor Hsueh graduated from the National Taiwan University College of Medicine (NTUCM). He has completed several years of clinical internship and residency at the National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) and has been working at NTUH and NTUCM since 1995. Professor Hsueh moved to CMUH at CMU in 2021. Throughout his career, he has held president positions in several local and international societies, including the International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC), Asia-Pacific Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infection (APSCMI), Global Chinese Association of Clinical Microbiology and Infection (GCACMID), Infection Control Society of Taiwan (ICST), Taiwan Society of Microbiology (TSM), and Taiwan Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (TSCPaLM). He has also served as a member of the Scientific Program Committee for several international congresses, including the International Congress of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ICC), American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Microbe, European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), and other regional congresses on infectious diseases and clinical microbiology.
Currently, Professor Hsueh is the president of TSM and Society of Taiwan Long-Term Care Infection Prevention and Control (STLTCIPC). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Microbiology, Immunology, and Infection (JMII), Section Editor of the International Journal Antimicrobial Agents (IJAA), funding editor of the Journal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance (JGAR), provides editorial input to several prestigious journals, and is a reviewer for more than 50 journals. Recently, he is actively advancing medical intelligence in laboratory medicine and infectious diseases, focusing on the application of machine learning to predict antimicrobial-resistant pathogens and enhance clinical decision support systems for antibiotic stewardship.
Professor Hsueh has authored more than 1,100 original research and review articles.

Prof. Mahir Al Hilali

Before joining Mediclinic Middle East in 2012, Dr Hilali was a Consultant Hematologist and Laboratory
Clinical Director in Dorset County Hospital, UK for more than 25 years. He also served as Lead CancerClinician and Consultant Hemato-Oncologist for the Dorset Cancer Centre. Dr Hilali has an extensiveexperience as a medical consultant and a wide experience in healthcare management as clinical andmedical director in the NHS (UK) and in the private healthcare sector in the UK & Middle East. Dr. Varol Tunali

Medical Parasitologist, Postdoctoral Researcher Manisa Celal Bayar University, Turkiye

Dr. Varol TUNALI, MD, PhD, is a medical doctor and researcher specializing in parasitology, infectious diseases, and microbiome science. He earned his MD and PhD in Medical Parasitology from Ege University (Turkey) and completed advanced training at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. He currently lectures at the Izmir University of Economics and practices at Eşrefpaşa Hospital, Izmir.

Dr. Tunali has held roles including Chief Medical Officer at ENBIOSIS Biotechnologies (2022–2023), where he led AI-based microbiome research on gut health. He has participated in numerous international courses and fellowships, such as those organized by ESCMID, the European Respiratory Society, and the German Biosecurity Program (GIBACHT).

His research focuses on microbiome-based therapeutics, Blastocystis pathobiology, and neglected parasitic infections. He has published widely in high-impact journals including Clinical Microbiology and Infection, JAMA Network Open, and The American Journal of Gastroenterology, and has presented at major scientific meetings such as ECCMID, FEMS, DDW, and the International Blastocystis Conference.

Dr. Tunali is a member of leading professional societies (ESCMID, ASM, AGA, FEMS, TPD, and TMC) and an active investigator in COST Actions on Blastocystis and RNA pathogen communication. He has received multiple international awards and grants from UEG, ESCMID, and COST for his research excellence and scientific contributions to infectious disease and microbiome research.

Dr. Alison Finall

Dr. Alison Finall is a consultant anatomical pathologist with 20 years experience in diagnostic reporting and a strong dedication to medical education, research, and patient care. She gained CCT from the UK in 2012 after successful completion of FRCPath qualiﬁcation. She has Masters degrees in Medical Education and Genomic Medicine alongside an MD in molecular pathology. She is committed to lifelong learning and is currently studying for an MBA. She has won a number of academic awards and has published numerous research papers on thoracic and gynaecological oncopathology.

Mr. Deepinder Singh

Mr Deepinder Singh is the Regional Senior Manager at NMC Healthcare, UAE’s largest healthcare provider. In his current role, he is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and improving Patient Safety and Quality standards in NMC Hospitals and Medical Centers in Dubai, Sharjah and Northern Emirates.
Mr Singh has been an International Assessor of ACHSI since 2014 and conducted Organization Wide Surveys / Periodic Reviews for more than 18 hospitals in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia and Bahrain.
In the past, Mr Singh was the Chief Quality Officer at NMC Royal Hospital from 2018 t0 2023. Before that he held the role of Group Head – Quality and Innovation at the KIMS Healthcare – a leading Hospital chain in GCC with presence in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and India. Mr Singh has also worked as the Head of Strategy and Organizational development at Fortis Healthcare Limited, India – the second largest chain of Hospitals in the country.

Dr. Mohamed Kamal Ahmed

Mohamed Ahmed is a seasoned financial executive with 22 years of experience in finance and accounting. He has worked for various companies in different industries, including Public Accounting, Healthcare, Oil and Gas, and Manufacturing

Mohamed began his career as a junior accountant at a large accounting firm after earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university. He quickly moved up the ranks and became a senior accountant, gaining experience in auditing, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

After several years in public accounting, Mohamed transitioned to the private sector and joined a mid-sized manufacturing company as the controller. In this role, he oversaw the daily accounting operations and financial reporting. During his tenure, Mohamed implemented new accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, resulting in significant cost savings for the company.

Mohamed’s strong financial acumen and leadership skills drove him to be a successful CFO for the past 18 years. As CFO, Mohamed was responsible for the company’s overall financial strategy and management. Throughout his career, Mohamed has demonstrated a deep understanding of financial management, risk assessment, and strategic planning. He has a proven track record of driving financial performance and creating value for stakeholders.

Mohamed holds an MBA from a top business school and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Institute of Management Accountants and the AICPA.
